Collectible Knives

What makes a knife collectible? There may be a multitude of reasons such as design, materials, who produced it, demand for the model and how long it was produced. 

If you are just starting, start with a model or brand you admired during a period of knifemarking, like from the 90's. Collect knives that are no longer in production, you would be happy owning. There is no guarantee the knife will increase in valuable but owning has it's own rewards.
