Knives
Our knife selection is an evolving process. In 2009 we started as a vendor at Knife and Gun shows. We bought new knives from a wholesaler, a selection of brands we knew, Marbles, Ka-Bar, Ontario and because we were based close to SOG, a large selection of their products. As time progressed, we took a greater interest in used knives, especially vintage and preferably discontinued knives. Technology and competing with lower cost import knives forced many great companies out of business. The 1970's - 1990's US knife manufacturers and even gun companies hired talented young designers like Gil Hibben (before Rambo fame) and Blackie Collins who created dynamic knives for Browning and Smith and Wesson.
The US was also importing a great number of knives from Seki, Japan a long established center of high quality knife producers.
Soligen, Germany a great producer of knives stayed on their course with unchanging quality.
Over the years we began to specialize into Vintage and Discontinued Carry and Collectibles Knives with an occasional detour when a more recent model or brand caught our attention. It continues to be an evolving process.
