1980’s Warrior Bowie Model 5 Richmond, VA 1982-1991 EKWD

These knives from the Richmond, VA time are reported to be the closest in design to John Ek’s original designs. They are basic knives using a metal guard, the poured lead handle pins have been replaced with brass pins. The handle is Walnut cut in John Ek’s original design. This knife is also called the EK Bowie knife for its blade design. John Ek’s early models were wood handles most without guards which Ek assured buyers that their hands would not slip by plunging his hand into water and impressively stabbing his knife into wood.,

Bought the Ek knife without box or sheath so consider it used. It arrived in a plastic bag and the blade was protected in a cardboard sleeve. Used knives usually show some handling. No sheath but I ordered an excellent reproduction sheath by Indian Creek Trading Co. The details of this model were hard to uncover, it did not come with any solid info and limited information on the internet for this model. I see no marks on the blade indicating it was sharpened, but judge for yourself from the photos. Designed to be carried in combat.
