SOG Seal Team 2000; Seki

The SOG SEAL 2000 is a 7" bladed fixed blade knife with a rubber handle that was designed for the grueling US Navy SEAL knife trials in 1992. The knife needed to accompany a Navy SEAL must be just as worthy. The US Government's knife evaluation program included incredible tests that evaluated the following: tip breaking strength, blade toughness, sharpness and edge retention, handle twist-off limits, two-week saltwater immersions, gasoline, and acetylene torch, chopping, hammering, prying, penetration performance, cutting ability for six different types of rope and nylon line, low noise and low reflection factors, intense hands-on training in the field.

The Seal Team 2000 knife was manufactured from 1995 to 2007 for SOG by Kinryu of Seki Japan. Knives such as these and many of the SOG models produced prior to the shift of production from Seki, Japan to Taiwan are among the best knives SOG offered.
