Vintage G96, Jet Aer woodsman knife- excellent Seki, Japan
G 96 model 975 Woodsman
Jet-Aer Corp. of Patterson, NJ started selling knives in 1973 till the mid-80s taking classic knife designs manufactured by companies like Buck and Gerber and having them produced in Seki, Japan and advertising them for sale in Sporting Magazines. Ichiro Hattori manufactured many of the knives these US companies imported and being made in Seki, Japan they are a quality knife.
This knife follows the design of a buck 110 folding hunting knife but incorporates an effective wood saw which many of the European manufacturers like Puma and Aitor offered with their folding hunting knives These models are referred to as an outdoorsman or woodsman knife . An excellent knife in a backpack for hunting, camping or as an emergency tool for car or truck. The saw is effective for sawing small tree linbs. The blades were constructed with stainless steel similar to 440C, probably AUS 8.

This folder shows little if any use. It is missing the G 96 badge on the side of the handle, brass can use polishing. Sharp and in excellent condition but judge for yourself.
