70’s Browning Sportsman 4018F Folding Knife.
Purchased October 1, 1976 marked on the sheath by D.C. Mace. Owner was very proud of this purchase.
This is a Browning Model 4018F Multi-Purpose Folding Knife of lockback design. This knife was first cataloged by Browning in 1969. The blade is about 4 inches long and is made of 440C stainless steel and mirror polished. With the blade closed the handle is about 5 inches long. The handle material is rosewood and the hilt and butt cap are solid brass. The knife was handcrafted in the USA. The belt sheath is a "pouch" type of dark brown leather with snap closure and a back belt loop.
Knife is used but shows minor use. The sheath has been well marked by the original owner but is in excellent condition. 4018F-1025
