Vintage Compass Industries C.I. Commando Boot knife, Seki, Japan model 567 w/box

Compass Industries was established in 1937 and from that time has been dedicated to providing high quality merchandise at affordable prices. They imported German and good quality Japanese items (late 1970's till 1980's. The Seki, Japan items were some the best around at that time.

This is scarce Compass Industries boot knife from Seki, Japan circa 1980. Tak Fukuta made these for C.I.. Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand-crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor.

Overall length 9 1/4", Blade length 5 1/4 ". Has stainless steel bolster and pommel.

 This knife is listed used; in picture 1 the tip is turned up slightly (look closely) and there are scratch marks on the pommel. Box shows some storage wear. This is a nice, vintage, collectible knife. May show additional handling.
