Track knives was founded 1970 by Ray Schmidt and his longtime friend Don Pfirmerer. Ray had been active making and perfecting hunting knives since he was 12 years old. Both Ray and Don were active hunting, fishing and hiking together while growing up in Whitefish, MT
The High Country Hunter features a Drop Point blade with a finger groove and serrated thumb rest to give you ultimate control for field dressing and skinning. The 4” steel blade is of high carbon, nickel vanadium alloy with a Rockwell of 58-59. It will skin, cut, rip, cape, cut bone, filet or just plain slice trip after trip with only occasional sharpening. The knife gives you plenty of grip with wood Micarta handle with a hilt of nickel silver. Comes with the Original all leather belt sheath embossed on the back with the “TRACK KNIVES BY ithacagun” Logo.
Knife is NOS with original box, blue fabric sleeve to protect the blade and the original sheath and warranty card. Does not show use, may show slight handling. You judge from the photos.
