Precise Deerslayer- White Hattori knife NOS

Vintage Precise Deerslayer Whita- Hattori

Precise International Corp. of Suffern, NY, Founded 1954 in NYC. It is believed they started importing knives from Seki, Japan in 1966 some manufactured by Ichiro Hattori.

You can readily see the Bob Loveless influence on this Precise Deerslayer Ltd Drop Point Hunter made in Seki, Japan by Ichiro Hattori. Many of the Seki, Japan knife makers shared information and adopted the Loveless Design brought to them by knifemaker Tak Fukuta when he returned home after studying Knifemaking in the US. 

This knife has a 3.5" drop point blade of 440 Stainless Steel (believed to be AUS 8) done in a tapered grind with a white palm swell handle for comfort. OAL 8", weighs 6 oz, knife and sheath 7.4 oz.
