70's Smith & Wesson 6010 Bowie Knife
Smith & Wesson Bowie 6010 #25451
In 1972 Smith and Wesson and innovative knife designer Blackie Collins introduced the company into the knife business. This program was made available to the public in 1975 and seven knives were initially offered. Called the Survival Series they included a Bowie, Survival, Outdoorsman, Skinner a folding hunter knife, Fisherman knife and a Filet knife.
The blades were forged in-house by S&W from modified 440C Stainless Steel. Benchmade quality knives produced by S&W in house.
This Knife is an excellent condition model 6010 Bowie Knife which is a traditional Bowie Style design with upswept false edge, double brass handguard and leather sheath. The Wessonwood handle is blended smoothly with the double quillion brass guard and pommel. The Bowie has a 6” blade, 10” overall and weighs 13 oz. This knife and sheath are listed used (no box), and may show minor handling. Judge condition from the photos. A great Texas Style Bowie Knife to carry and use.
Bowie Model 6010 #25451 with an exceptional genuine leather S&W Bowie/Survival sheath.
