Measures 3 1/8" x 1 3/8" overall. Orange composition case with screw top lid and integrated replaceable striker. O-ring sealed. Molded, vertical ribbing provides a sure grip in wet, harsh conditions.   Abner Fitzwillie notes; I alway try to carry at least 2 ways to make fire; matches, firesteel, lighter, flint & steel, etc. This container is great, waterproof, easy to spot and  space where I can also put a cotton ball w/petroleum jelly or small tinder by taking out a few matches.Matches are not included with this product."
