"Sharp" was a U.S. Importer of knives in the late 1970s to 1980s period. They offered a number of Seki, Japan made knives but one that is noteworthy is the Sharp Model 1000s. The Sharp 1000s were produced by Ichiro Hattori of Seki, Japan and were often sold through nationwide retailers, especially K-Mart. Knife is 8" OAL, 3.5" Hollow ground blade of 440 steel (many of Hattori's were discovered to use AUS-8, steel the Japanese equivalent). The knife carried the Hattori quality edge treatment and sold for around $10.00 - Fifty years ago. Knife is extremely well made, hollow ground and sharp. A very popular knife with sportsman. The blade's hardness is designed for cutting, not for prying.

This knife is NOS and has it original box (box may show wear). It has the K-Mart instruction sheet with it. Judge the condition from the photos, I wiped off the blade, but the knife and brass guard could use a good cleaning. Over 50 years old and in exceptional condition.
