Kershaw 4070- 6" Stainless Steel triple tempered Bowie Blade
In 1992, Dan Harrison, a custom knife maker was commissioned by Kershaw to design and build a series of 3 limited edition Bowie knives This knife model 4070 the smallest in the series is still a full-size 6” Bowie Knife.
Blades are made of premium quality tool and diemaker's stainless steel alloy, triple tempered for optimum hardness and edge-holding qualities, before they are double hollow-ground and polished to a mirror finish. Handles are multiple layers of natural hardwood veneers, pressure-laminated and sealed, are cut along the bias and then individually shaped and finished to fit over the massive full-length tang of the blade. High-polished brass guards and brass pommel complement the intricate woodgrain patterns. These Kershaw Bowie Knives were hand-crafted by Master Knife Maker Dan Harrison in Texas on a limited basis and individually serial numbered. His wife Carol made the unique harness leather sheaths.
This knife is in excellent condition, appears unused and is numbered #1754. Judge for yourself.
