1990-1998 Kershaw 1050 folding field knife
Originally introduced in 1979 the Kershaw 1050 folding field knife stayed in production for 30 years and was extremely popular with outdoorsman. Manufactured in Seki, Japan by Kai cutlery it was an extremely well-built lock blade knife and came with a harness leather sheath. The original models were produced by Ichiro Hattori and featured wood handles with brass bolsters later replace with durable phenolic handles and brass bolsters. The knife listed for over $200 MSRP. After 2009 they were produced for one or two years in China to lower the price almost 50% but they did not catch on.
