Morakniv Classic Craftsman 612 $19
A knife is a priority in a Survival Kit but needs not to be expensive. This Mora Classic Craftsman #612 is a great addition. Carbon steel blade, wood handle, finger guard and protective plastic sheath.
8 1/2" overall. 4 1/8" carbon steel blade. Red Birchwood wood handle with steel finger guard. Black plastic sheath.
Abner Fitzwillie Notes; "What can you say about Mora's, great knives for the money. Hold an edge and are durable. Children in Sweden often start with this knife because of the finger guard. As they gain experience they can move up to a different models, but it is perfect for someone without a lot of knife expeerience or someone like me that just enjoys using a light weight, manuverable knife that is easy to sharpen. Most Moras are made in high Carbon steel or Stainless steel. It is a stainless steel that is easy to sharpen so I have a Moras in both blade materials and a variety of models. Buy several Moras for the car, boat and as a spare. I also have several Moras in the kitchen. They are a classic, inexpensive bushcraft knife."
