Abner Fitzwillie notes, "Condor makes excellent products for the price. The primitive Bush Knife gained popularity on Dual Survival when used by Matt Graham. It uses 420 HC steel a steel that was widely used by Buck Knives and has a great balance to the knife. The sheath like all of Condor's products is a quality sheath and is designed to slip underneath a belt or sash as it does not have a belt loop. It is a good cutting tool, not a heavy bladed knife to be used for chopping wood, but more like a machete for cutting foliage and works well as a camp knife for all around use. A unique and fun knife to use and sturdy enough for survival purposes." I used it on some pork ribs and it slices great, just not as maneuverable as a filet knife for following bones."
"They have also introduced a more expensive version of this knife (MSRP $124.95) with a 1075 High carbon blade and micarta handles. I have not ordered one yet being very pleased with this model with the Stainless Steel blade, wood handle and funky but neat sheath."
